    Of course the price matters...
You look at the fee and compare with what you could get for the same amount.

We rarely make a decent profit on our players when we sell them, so I hate seeing us paying 'over the odds' for new players. Maybe it's just me, but that's what I think. If they're better than what we've got then great, but I just don't like seeing other clubs rip us off. Ever since Chelsea 'raised the bar' on paying transfer fees every team raises the price of their 'star players', adn rightly so. But I hate it when we pay what I believe as 'over the odds' for a player.

If others don't like that, then so be it!
I agree, people say theyre not the ones paying it, how about increased ticket prices and other price hikes to compensate for the outlay on transfers?

At the end of the day the two Americanos will want this to be a profitable venture, who do you think is going to fund the majority of it? h:

With Rafa in charge I don't think we'll be overpaying in the same fashion as Chelsea, and that is my only concern

I want to be competitive so spending is necessary, but throwing stupid amounts of money around rarely solves anything. Paying 18-20M for Alves falls into that category for me

So if Chelsea bid 25 mill Seville will say "NO,he`s going to the team he chooses for 18 mill",Strange.

I would be upset if we started making money off selling players. That would mean that we are letting players go that have potential. Liverpool has never been a selling club and I hope they never become one

I did not mean it like that I think we will pick up players young for relativley little money, get there best years out of them then move them on when we have found the next young superstar.
