To think, that at the time I thought Zenden was the right man for the game because he would use his experience to keep position and use the ball well!

By the very nature of the role he was playing I would have expected him to lose the ball more often than most of the team. Not to say that I thought he played well, but there were more fundamental flaws in our game than just Zenden's poor use of the ball. By the way, does anybody know whether Finnan will be fit for tomorrow?

A cross, or blocked cross is not a lost ball!

A cross that doesn't reach it's target is a lost ball. He was basically the only attacking threat from midfield and, in much the same way as Garcia, had to risk losing the ball in an attempt to create anything like a chance.

In any case, I think the stat is completely redundant and Zenden has been ritually flogged long enough for us not to have to discuss it any more, it's quite clear he is not at a high enough level for Liverpool FC.

He played the ball more than any other player,he didn`t hide.Any chance to bash a free signing who does his best .I know he`s not good enough and will be gone in the summer but why hunt for stats to bash him with?
