So 10points for correct scoreline, 5 points for correct result, 1 point for correct goalscorer...

Perhaps... although lets be honest, the chances of 8-0 are rather miniscule so he's not got any hope of the 5 for correct score I might introduce arbitrary points deductions though for such silliness

You could change it by making it only the first or last scorer that must be predicted...?

FWIW I actually do reckon it'll be 8-0, I'm not doing it as some sneaky point grabbing ploy, honest :liarshakey:

It's funny coz the reason I never went in the first few comps was because I thought of the way to cheat/exploit immediately and thought "what a crock of a point system". I'd only give points for scorers if the correct margin is picked.

I'm perfectly prepared to change the points system if this is the general feeling (damn you RedPolo) and apply it retrospectively, it won't mean that much work for me if we get it sorted now... Or I could just leave as is and apply arbitrary minus points for potential cheats (got ya RedPolo!). I'll put a thread in the competitions forum in a sec for opinions, save cluttering this one anymore

Scoring change for the prediction competition?

Ok, so who thinks that, in the light of RedPolo's flagrant attempt to cheat by predicting the entire team will score, that the current scoring system (5 points for predicting the correct score, 2 for correct result and 1 for each correct scorer) should be changed? Maybe 10 for correct score, 3 for result and 1 for each scorer?

Or should we leave it as is and just apply the principle of totally arbitrary point deductions where required?

I need to get this sorted before I disappear under a mountain of ever-more complicated spreadsheets
