I thought away goals only count in normal time.

Once it is extra time, that rule is scrapped, and if it is say 2-1 to us (2-2 overall) after extra time, there would be penalties.

I'm pretty sure that is not the case. I'm pretty sure away goals do count in extra time.

It is a very interesting idea about away goals in extra timebeing scrapped. I certainly understand the argument, that we only had 90 mins to score an away goal but they could have 120 - this is true. But we also have the advantage of playing the most crucial part of the tie on our home ground, which ought to be a massive lift, especially if it goes to penalties.

I have this gut feeling that it's going to be 3-1 and "Olympiakos" all over again with the third goal coming about 2 or 3 minutes from time

god i hope we dont need a goal with a few minutes left at the end. no matter how good the olympiakos game was i cant bear the tension again.

3-0 up and then chavs scoring will do nicely though

I have always thought this rule needs looking into.

I really do not see how it is fair. we had 90 mins to score at their ground and they get 120 at ours. Away goals should end after 90 mins.

Having said that they are the rules and the players know them so we have got to plan for and deal with all scnarios.
