The worry for me is the lack of pace on the left. But apart from Zenden we have a team full of rested players. None of them played against Portsmouth.

Zenden could be rested all season & still exhibit the torpor of a chrysalis.

Riise could provide the overlapping from left back whereas Arbeloa isn't a natural left back, so that could be a key point Rafa could have taken into consideration.
