I don't agree mate. He was very good. Yes he was fooled for one or two decisions (notably with Drogba and that **** Robben), but I felt he was very consistent throughout.

Well said .It must be intimidating to ref in anfield also. He controlled and let flow very well. So a few decisions went astray, but thank god he didnt book mascher and the game was played in a very fierce but fair way.

OK, I agree with the lot of ya... He had some dodgy decisions and I agree with you all when you say that he should have booked that Catpiss Drogba, Joe bloody Cole and Fatcünt... But he grew under my skin and there are two referees that I really like and hope to be there when Liverpool is playing: Mejuto Gonzalez and Luboš Michel!



And of course there are the referees I can't stand, beginning with Marcus Merk

He was lenient as regards bookings but I thought he kept control of the match well. As the team who went through we should be glad he wasn't more card happy. Can't help feeling that people are viewing his performance through very red tinted spectacles.

The assistants were'nt great at offsides but the disallowed goal was tight and they are hard to call right.

I thought the ref had a good game myself.

He was a bit lenient with the cards, but other than that, he let the game flow. Most continental refs would not have applied an English style of refereeing to that game. He did, and I think he should be congratulated for it.
