For that money we could buy a dozen good squad members.Originally posted by REDSCOUSER View PostFor arguments sake, how much will KAKA cost us, 50-75£ M easily. For that money we can buy 3 class players at 20£ m each and win #19
I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.

To an extent though, that's our problem. We already have lots of "good squad members", but we do lack something a bit special in enough positions.
Not that I'd ever advocate spending ridiculous money, but what we really do need is one or two more special players, not a dozen more good squad members.I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

Kaka to Liverpool? This may have been laughable just weeks ago, however recent reports and statements by the superstar have lead many to believe otherwise.
Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite, or 'Kaka" as he's known to those other than his mother, is one of the highest touted 25 year old footballers in the world. He embraces everything that Brazillian football is about. Speed, flare, teamwork, and the uncanny ability to make the impossible possible. Except for one thing. Win the Champions League.
Recent reports out of San Siro have those close to him (namely, and most respected, his younger brother Digão) all saying the same thing. He wants the top European prize and realizes that if he continues to draw Liverpool in the final, it is a title that he fears will elude him forever.
So how do you change your own fate? Ask to move to Liverpool.
AC Milan do not want to get rid of the best thing that's happened to them since Andriy Shevchenko left, and will obviously not let him go on the cheap, yet they are also very consciously concerned about a "Bosman" with his current contract coming due in just 2 years time. It just might be the fresh change of pace that he needs to bag that elusive medal.
Kaka was reported as saying after their 2nd leg come from behind win over Manchester United in Wednesday's other semi final as saying "Liverpool is a great club with tremendous history. If they were to table an offer for any player, they would be foolish to not look at it." He continued "This season I am at AC milan. Next season is different and I do not know what the future holds for me or my family."
May 23rd could well just be an informal try out, should Liverpool hoist the cup at his expense yet again.

Kaka is a typical LFC player I would say, and I much prefer this type of player than the likes of Ronaldhino and Ronaldo, who are too individual and fancy for me.

drop Xabi - he's been well below average for most of the season.Originally posted by Darth Marty View Postha ha ha of course id want him, just saying i think we could do with strikers, wingers rather than another world class midfielder. You know id piss my pants if we got him, just saying...its not the position we need covering...and would you drop xabi, stevie or masch? or keep the three of them and play a lone striker with kaka just behind? so many options but to keep all midfielders happy one things for sure...we couldnt play 2 wingers.

Why should we spend silly money on a player we don`t need?,we have a "World Class" Midfield.
We need to concentrate on filling the wings with great players,(Alves,Lennon)so SG can play in the role earmarked for Kaka if he came here.(IS Kaka a better Attacking Midfielder than Stevie?,i don`t think so.)
Plus one "World Class" Striker.
