Liverpool not as good as United

    Quote from Carlo Ancelotti :

"It was an evening of dreams," he said. "To play the way we did in the first half is a dream for a coach - it was perfect football.

"The final will be a fascinating challenge - Liverpool are not as good as Manchester United but they are harder physically."
Should he eat these words for the final ? Yes, he should. :whatever:

Didn't he try and put us down last time as well?
    On the Ning Nang Nong
    Where the Cows go Bong!
And the Monkeys all say Boo!
    There's a Nong Nang Ning
    Where the trees go Ping!
And the tea pots Jibber Jabber Joo.
    On the Nong Ning Nang
    All the mice go Clang!
And you just can't catch 'em when they do!
    So it's Ning Nang Nong!
    Cows go Bong!
    Nong Nang Ning!
    Trees go Ping!
    Nong Ning Nang!
    The mice go clang!
What a noisy place to belong,
Is the Ning Nang Ning Nang Nong!!

Who cares? We know they have been the better team in the premiership for a while now. Its a totally different story in Europe though.

NEXT SEASON WE WILL BE PLAYING FOR EVERYTHING!!!

I think that was probably translated wrong. In terms of our attractiveness of football he is probably right and we don't have the devastating pace of manure either. Tactically we're better than any team in the world and I'm sure they'll all be ****ting themselves after what happened in 2005.

            Absolutely.
I get the feeling that they still haven't learnt from that defeat to us in Istanbul. Football is not just about how good you are technically as players - it's how good you are as a team, it's about how you fight for every ball and about heart and strong minds. We know our lads have that - do Milan?
Just when I discovered the meaning of life, they changed it

Agree. And the thing which strikes me with our team this season, is the fact that we don't really have a star player, someone like Kaka is for them. We are a real TEAM and that's our main quality !

The most important thing on the 23rd of May will be fitness.Their average age is 32,the last 20 minutes will see us in domination as they tire.As long as it`s close after 70 minutes i can see us winning.

I read somewhere that AC Milan has this research lab which is cutting edge and it´s sole job is to find new methods to keep players fit and in top shape for as long as possible, and this is the reason Maldini and co. have been able to play on to no end in top condition. I think fitness will not be a factor for them, last time we played them, they didn´t seem as tired in extra time I thought at least, might have to watch it again.
                    * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

I think you are right, I was thinking that too. It was our players who were going down with cramp and such.

They are all two yrs older and will play a few more games in la Liga before 23rd.Their subs bench doesn`t look too strong either.

P.S.They don`t have Crespo this time.
Aslong as we stop Kaka which ManU failed to do in both games we`ll be alright.
The rest off their team isn`t all that.

They also looked in top condition yesterday and their movement was top notch, Kaka went down with cramp after running roughly 10 k but he is the youngster...I still think tiredness will not be a factor for them.

What Ancelotti has said is probably right - Man U are a better footballing side than us (as the league table suggests), but in cup competitions, and in Europe especially, we're a different side all together.

Rafa's tactics and game plan have usually been spot on, and the way we play as an unit is fantastic.

I read a report the other day (can't remember where though) where the reporter spoke how Rafa got all the players working as a complete unit, where the defence and midfield, especially when we're defending, work together as if they are being pulled about into place with invisible string as each player moves to cover his area almost instinctively.

Let's hope there's one more game in them out in Athens that they can all produce yet another masterstroke and pull off number 6!!
