Didn't they have big screens in town for the Final in 2005?

I reckon the best bet would be to hire an unfashionable pub or working mens club with a large screen TV for the night and restrict access to limited numbers but charge maybe a fiver each. If it's a BL or similar club the ale will be much cheaper and at least you'd get a decent view without all the usual knobheads and women screaming (unless you invite Red_Hot)...

To have a big crowd at anything requires a police presence and also it would need stewarding.

Police will all be in the City Centre that night and there will not be any stewards available since about half of them will be travelling with the club on the LFC run flights.

As good an idea it seems it isnt workable.

It will show crowd shots and when people see themselves they will start gurning for the camera. It's like people cooing and pointing when they see a plane overhead.

Every other club can have one but not Liverpool FC. No ball boys too.

the club takes ALL the staff for free when we get in finals so there'll be no-one around to even open the gates, never mind sell warm carlsberg

If I don't get a ticket and a way to get out there, then I'd love to watch it on a mega screen on the Kop.

Anyone heard anything about the club doing something like this. I can't really be arsed going into town watching it with bandwagoners. I want to watch it with genuine reds.

So you think the 'people who would only ever watch us in a cup final' are likely to be OOTs who have travelled up to Liverpool just so they can watch it on telly with loads of other reds?

Surely those kind of people are not likely to want to travel a long way just to get a better atmosphere?
