Toshack means 'Bollocks' in Turkish. When he managed in Turkey, people laughed at his name when he first arrived there

Unfortunatley, we were out of the race for the Premiership title before Christmas, so it's not true to say that we concentrated on European success at the expense of the league.
Or in other words, our league standing was not significantly affected by our European cup run. If Rafa wants to focus on anything, it is having the confidence to take the game to the opposition when away from home, instead of just sitting back and waiting for goals to appear out of the blue.Liverpool FC über alles.

Rafa said he never went near the dressing room. Someone is lying.Originally posted by AFII View Post
Kuyt said: "With Benitez and a couple of others we were dancing like idiots in the changing rooms. You should have seen the manager. He was just as euphoric as the players. Our celebrations in the dressing room went on for more than half an hour after the final whistle. None of us can remember every detail of what happened immediately after the match. We just went crazy....

yeah thats right, Rafa didn't want to get soaked or thrown into the bath by the players, so he kept out.Originally posted by Bob View PostRafa said he never went near the dressing room. Someone is lying.
Either that.
Or, he didnt want the players to see him celebrating when we still have not achieved our main aim this season.Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
* After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

you would think so, but it is suprising how quickly fans turn on managers, even perhaps liverpoolOriginally posted by darkknight View Post[Q] Liverpool legend Toshack, now manager of Wales, said: "Liverpool are under pressure to win it. Don't have a go at Toshack as it's not clear from the article what he said and what Gorman has added.Originally posted by kurtangle01 View PostToshack is a ******. He's best ignored.
Quotes are used to begin sentences but are not used to signal the end of what Toshack said. For instance, if quotes are added after they'll put up a monument to Rafa, then the rest are just Gorman's words and Toshack’s comments are fine.
