Well, you said he's equally good at LB and LM. That's not true. From what you say, one might get the impression that he could spend a season at LB just as comfortably as he could at LM. That's not the case. He's an attacking midfielder.Originally posted by Nic83 View PostNotice your use of "not an able left back". Your use of that particular word leads me to believe that you are saying he is ****e at left back.

So i would say he is VERY "able" to play at left back, although yes, he is really a left mid and much better there.
Flamini has filled in at LB as has Duff in recent times, but you wouldn't advertise them as being equally good LB's.
Puerta has similarly helped his club out and done a decent job at LB, but were he at Liverpool, would I consider him a LB option? Nope. And if we are indeed looking at him, I doubt the scouts and Rafa are either.
I wouldn't see the point of this signing to be honest.

I think Flamini has been a better LB than CM for Arsenal.Originally posted by keniget View PostWell, you said he's equally good at LB and LM. That's not true. A lot of the better fullbacks around are converted midfielders, if Rafa thinks he has got the necessary attributes then they may well be thinking about him there. If you ask me one of the long term developments Rafa wants in the team is more attacking fullbacks who join in general play.
Having said that I've never seen this guy play, so who knows what he is like at LB."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."
