The game was played at a similar pace and physicality to what you might see in a typical Premiership match.

    He couldn't handle it.

I think he's like Alex Hleb at Arsenal. Technically gifted, but just not effective in terms of creating and scoring.
Totally agree, he won't cut it in the Premiership.

        Completely disagree.

Without him France would never have gotten to the final.
He carried that team on his shoulders offensively with his dynamic running and skill.

Ribery would be a gift from the Gods. To say that he can't cope with the tempo of the PL is laughable. He was build for the PL.

We were somewhere around Barstow on the edge of the desert when the drugs began to take hold.

Im very surprised he's not been bought by a big club. Does it say that the big clubs dont rate him?

He's not exactly at a big club in the French league, and has been quiet this last two season as in he hasnt set the world on fire.

Over-rated??? Can anyone tell me as i havent seen him play this year.

That is the thing, none of us, or very few of us have seen him play on a regular basis.
the bit I have seen of him though, he looks like a fantastic player. Although, I don't hear much about him playing club football. Is he scoring regularly for Marseilles?
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

I'd prefer Ribery to Malouda but sadly I don't think he's a target. Have we ever been linked with him?
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

The Youtube clips of him make him look the biz and no doubt a talent but is he all that and be able to play in the Prem?

according to wiki, he has 11 goals in 58 games in all competitions for Marseilles, I think 2 for Galatasary during his time there.

He certainly looks rough enough, and doesnt look weak.

Poor, but have they got his assists Bazza? If he's good at whipping the ball in for the strikers then thats priceless as we've had no one to do that in years, hence the downfall of Nando while he was with us IMO
