Few belated questions from the Fulham game

Sorry to start a new thread on this so long after the game, however, I missed it completely. I was wondering how the new boys Insua & Paletta played? Also Kewell and El Zhar made cameos too & Fowler started. Any of them impress?

    Thoughts appreciated.

Just seen the Kewell thread, so no need for an update on him

Insua looked to have a mature head, basically performed his duties in the left back role and looked like a real prospect in the long term. Unlike Paletta (in the arsenal match), Insua looked to have gotten used to the offside line led by Sami. Relatively quick, and not afraid of getting stucked in.

Paletta, well, he couldn't do any worse than that match. Improved alittle, likes to tackle, but slow off the pace, looked sluggish and often mis-time his clearance, which might lead to frantic moments. He needs to go out on loan to the lower divisions to get used to the english pace, and the much needed match fitness.

Nabil El Zhar made a cameo appearance, did not see much of the ball to do anything worth mentioning.

Kewell was a threat in the 13-15 mins when he came on towards the end of the match. More so than Speedy for the 75mins he was on. Speedy needs to go out on loan as well to a newly promoted side to gain more premiership match experience. He looked like he was in the beginning of the season, clueless.

Kewell played well in the reserve game and the Fulham game. He`ll be like a new signing IF he can stay injury free and maybe be Rafa`s ace in the sleeve for the CL Final.Next season could be his best.
On the other hand he`ll go off and play for Oz,pick up an injury and miss most of next season as usual.

        It`s 50/50.
