Liverpool are pondering a swap deal for Benfica midfield ace Simao Sabrosa.

The Champions League finalists have been chasing Simao for over 18 months after seeing a deal for the Portugal international collapse due to supporter pressure two summers ago.

Reds chief Rick Parry confirmed last week that Simao was still on their radar and its emerged Benfica would be open to a deal if they included Djibril Cisse as part of their offer.

I've seen enough of Simao to state I think he would be ****e at Liverpool.

It would be a MASSIVE disappointment if we signed him.
