It's amazing how many people have just assumed the reports about him are true because they've read it. Where have we heard that before...
There is a light that never goes out. RIP Alan "Mally" Johnston and the 96. YNWA.

      Beggers belief.

That said, you would have to ask is he better than Sissoko. I don't think he is.

Saying that 5m is a pittance for a player like Barton, but i'd doubt he'd be happy with a bit-part role.

Keane wants him apparently according to a friend in the know up there, reckons it will be his first major signing

It'd be a great signing for Keane... i reckon he could manage him.

And if Barton ended up kicking the seven shades of **** out of him, i'd laugh out loud for days and ****ing days.

Were there is smoke there is always some fire, in Barton case its a Forest Fire right now. would not have anything to do with him if the countless reports about him or even slightly true he is a bit of a scumbag

Keane will sort him out if that story is true no messing with Keane.

Maybe Barton might reach that potential talent that he has both seems to be throwing it away in the last couple of seasons

I wondered how long it would take for someone to suggest Barton...

No, no, no. He is a dick.

While there is smoke without fire on occasion in this instance the fact is that he has admitted previous poor behaviour and that alone would be enough for me to not be interested in him. He is a decent enough player but not what we need.

I also heard that Willie McKay (I think thats his name but Joeys agent anyway) had been forced to apologise for his comments in defence of Barton. I suspect that this time there is good reason to cast doubt on Bartons supposedly now more mature character.

I heard they were after Robbie keane who was pretty nailed on, but they are not sure because of the keane/berbatov partnership.
Cisse as they need some pace up front
A left back they are desperate for prob leighton baines if they go down
A partner and back up for whitehead which was Barton or possibly Nolan but reckon now they have sammy, nolan will stay

I was waiting for someone to quote that old cliche... perhaps you should stick to reading the S*n?

None of us know "the truth" about any of those instances, particularly not the latest one. Barton, like everybody else in this democracy, is innocent until proven guilty.

Having said that, I also don't believe he's right for LFC but because of his ability on the pitch not his reputation off the pitch.
