    Folks caught a bit of chat on Talkport this morning between Brazil and Beaky, Brazil was talking about the fact that Masher had played for the Hammers in the UEFA cup this seaon. Couldn't stay to listen to the end of the chat but I was wondering where does that leave LFC, should Masher not be cup tied????
    Can anyone shed any light on this situation??

    as of this season, in the january window, a club in the CL can sign and play 1 player that has played in the UEFA Cup. Luckily for us, Lucas Neill went to West Ham meaning we could use Masch as our 1 player. It was going to be the other **** aussie **** .

      No. Clubs are allowed to register one player in their squad for the latter rounds of the Champions League who has already played for another club in that year's UEFA Cup.

        You are allowed the play one player in the Champions League who has played in UEFA Cup in that same season. If that makes sense.

          No, rules were changed to allow one player that had played for another club in an earlier Euro comp round to be signed and could play in the later rounds of the other comp.

              a new rule slipped in there. Does it work both ways (say Sevilla purchased a plyer who'd been in the CL?)
