      He talks ****....
these were his comments after the game....more in implying that his team was off form and played **** rather than milan playing great...

'We needed to get through the first 25 minutes without cutting our own throats,' said Ferguson.

'We needed to try and remain calm and keep possession but we conceded two sloppy goals. You should not be losing goals like that.

'It was a disappointing night. I expected more from my players but we have to take it on the chin.'
"In fact I’m going to make a promise which will be welcomed by many. If there’s no finance secured by the opening day of the season, I’m going to hang up my keyboard and close KOPTALK down." - Duncan Oldham, Expert Conman. March 29th 2006

          What he actually said:

Man Utd boss Ferguson backing AC Milan to beat Liverpool
          tribalfooball.com - May 08, 2007

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is backing AC Milan to beat Liverpool in the Champions League final.

Ferguson, who takes his Premiership champions to Chelsea tonight, said: "I really hope that Milan will win the Champions League, othervice I will look like a complete dickhead.

"I told Carlo at the end of our semi-final that he has to win this competition after I made him look like a ****ing genius."

"Carlo gave me a magnificent bottle of wine to thank me for being such a nimrod tactically."

"But I immediately told him there is no point in giving such a wonderful gift as I am a recovering alcoholic".

"In fact, I told him I would only drink his wine once I completed my triple A program and has dropped the Anti-Alcohol Pills for good.

Ferguson also told The Sun: "Milan's second-leg victory made me look stupid, abysmal and ordinary.

"Last week, Milan were fresher and better prepared tactically. I opted for gung ho indian style football with zero tactical restraints as it is the only thing I have in my famous bag of tricks".

"I'm still trying to analyse and understand the factors involved. But the truth remains is that since I haven't shown anykind of tatical awareness in this autumn of my life, everything points towards the fact that the tactical aspects of this match will forever be out of my grasp.

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is backing AC Milan to beat Liverpool in the Champions League final.

Ferguson, who takes his Premiership champions to Chelsea tonight, said: "I'd bet for sure that Milan will win the Champions League, I'm absolutely certain of it.

"I told Carlo at the end of our semi-final that there is no way he can now not win this competition.

"Carlo gave me a magnificent bottle of wine.

"But I immediately told him there is no point in giving such a wonderful gift if he then fails in the final.

"In fact, I told him I would only drink his wine once I see him lifting the Champions Cup."

Ferguson also told The Sun: "Milan's second-leg victory over us was stupendous, fantastic and extraordinary.

"I know we paid a high price for the Premiership fightback which we needed at Everton to turn a 2-0 scoreline into a 4-2 victory.

"Last week, Milan were fresher and better prepared tactically and physically.

"I'm still trying to analyse and understand the factors involved. But the truth remains we faced one of the best performances in the entire history of AC Milan."

Suits us just fine being underdogs again. From the people I've spoken to, only other Liverpool fans believe that we'll win the final. Wouldn't have it any other way

As for Slur Alex's prediction, well, we all know how little he knows about European competition. Milan's stupendous performance was against a poor United side that can't play away from home.

                So feck off!

Hardly Surprising when you take into account that Rafa gave his How to Beat United in Europe for Dummies speech a few weeks ago. Also if we win the Champions Lg it will all be about Liverpool this year and it will take a lot of the shine off his Title achievement. I have a lot of time and respect for the Jock *******.

It seems to me that Slur Alex tries to get under the skin of his serious rivals. He has now stopped the mind games with Jose (for now, maybe because he is getting the boot?) and realises that we are going to be much more of a threat in the future seasons ahead.
Have to admit, I am kind of surprised though, as midway though the season and on previous occasions, Slur Alex and Rafa have seemed to get on quite well, even sometimes sitting at games together, and have had a drink together this season.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                  * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

                            Ferguscum 2

According to reports, Ferguson has identified the Barcelona striker as his number one transfer target as he begins his quest for three major signings in the close season.

It is understood Israeli agent Pini Zahavi, who has links in Barcelona, is behind the deal while Eto'o's friendship with Rio Ferdinand is also a factor in United's favour.

Only last week the United boss spoke of his desire to add more pace to his attack and the Cameroon international clearly fits the bill.

"Speed is important to us," said Ferguson as he talked about his plans for next season's title defence and Champions League challenge.

"At the moment that's what we're looking at. Whether we can get more speed."

Eto'o has been unsettled at the Catalan giants since his fall-out with coach Frank Rijkaard and Brazilian star Ronaldinho after he returned from four months out with a knee injury.

At the time he was accused of refusing to play and wounds between the trio have never fully healed.

In recent weeks however, Eto'o has let his football do most of the talking having scored 10 goals in his last 14 games and this kind of form has sparked interest from a host of European clubs.

AC Milan, Liverpool and Chelsea are also rumoured to be in the hunt for the three-times African Player of the Year but sources indicate he would prefer a move to Old Trafford.

Assuming Ferguson manages to also land Bayern Munich's Owen Hargreaves for £20million, United will have spent nearly all of their summer budget of £50m on just two players.

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

If thats the case then we would have Villa and Torres and many other Spanish players due to their friendship with our current Spanish players. Likewise with Henry and Stevie

This summer will be very interesting. I see Chelski going all out to buy the Worlds top players which = Price hike
