Since i've missed out on all the goings on in the last few weeks, here's my thoughts on proceedings at the mighty LFC:
- really impressed with Pennant of late, knucking down the lad and starting to show a bit of what he's about, didn't exactly roast Ashely Cole last tues but did give him a torrid time on occasions
- Bolo Zenden as rafa has stated is a great pro, never complains about being dropped and when called upon does a job for the team ala last tues when i thought he put in a sterling performance for the team. A player of his experience, achievements, attitude and proffessionalism really should be respected a little more from some liverpool fans, nice one bolo.
- Aberloa looks to be a good signing but these past few weeks he's been a bit dodgy, no probs of course, can't be consostent all time especially in a different league but lets not get carried away with his early form. Steve Finnan is still the number 1 right back by a long shot imo
- Masherano has been bloody well brilliant these past few weeks, he plays the game so simply yet so effectively. Still early days but by fook he looks a prospect and a half, harda believe he's only 22.
- JAR is soooo underrated by many, put in an excellent DEFENSIVE display against Chelsea up against Kalou, SWP, Robben at some stage last week, coped brilliantly with them all. He's beeen instrumental for us in this season Champions League, much like in 2005, consistently good. Superb player, one we should be looking to hand a new contract along with Gerrard, Carra and co.
- Rafa Benitez is tacticaly the best manager in eruope. Regardless of our league form in Rafa's reign, two Champions League finals in three years is a quite staggering statistic. RAFA, RAFAEL....
- Jose Mourinho is a wind up merchant, surely? I don't get wound up by him anymore, bellend end of story.
- I'm somehow incredibley confident about our chances against Milan. Seriously i'm usually in the AA league of being a negative aul bugger but something tells we old big ears is coming home. Maybe i'm more relaxed as we don't have to play the Mancs which really would have made for unbareable viewing.
