I know not the most reliable sources but wow this is quite something. I've only seen him twice for Gremio but I've seen a lot of videos and heard a lot from him. He has a massive reputation in brasil, despite being 19 he is already in the NT squad now. He is a central midfielder he reminds me of Baraja and Gerrard, but his technical ability is quite a bit better and smoother. He is a box to box player but Rafa could be trying to mould him into an attacking mid. Even though we already have a packed midfield I wouldn't object to this if it the Brasilian media is right and he is signing. He scores goals and has a ton of potential.

Apparently his in England now doing some work on the deal.

hmm interesting though, this kind of player arriving could spell the end of one of our midfielders.

Well I wouldn't say it's confirmed yet, we all know Spanish/Portugese/South American media can be very sketchy. But I'd like it if we did grab him and I think there's a genuine chance it is true. I think if we're looking at goals from the midfield being a priority then he'll be able to give us more of an option when it comes to scoring. From what I've seen I'd say he's more of a Baraja type box to box midfielder than Gerrard. If you understand what I'm saying a tad more defensive maybe and holds a little more. Could prove to be a difference maker and at that age he can give us quality service for a long long time he if develops to his potential. He is already considered one of the best players there and Dunga thinks the earth of him having him in the full squad already.

I think he is getting an Italian passport or something so we shouldn't have problems with work permits.

yeah mate, I was basically saying that if we were signing a player for 9m euro which is about what £4mil, then we wouldn't expect to see him lining up for the ressies for very long, which seems an odd signing give the midfield players we already have
