Lucas Pezzini Leiva..... Video
Don't know if it has already been posted but I stumbled across this...
http://www.recontragolazo.com/?p=339
If you scroll down there's a short interview (in Brazilian!) but it's followed by his goals...(with some **** music)......it starts off a little slow... but it gets better at the end....there's a couple of screamers on there .
He looks pretty good...and still young...I heard Man U tried to hijack him....glad we got there first!..:bird:
....sorry if it's been posted already!Last edited by Sebastian Rooks; 17-05-07, 09:09 AM."If you can't support us when we lose or draw, don't support us when we win." - Bill Shankly

Leiva deal triumph for Liverpool owners
Leiva deal triumph for Liverpool owners
tribalfooball.com - May 17, 2007
Liverpool trumped a host of Italian clubs for Gremio midfielder Lucas Pezzini Leiva because they acted quicker than their rivals, it has been revealed.
In a tribute to how the club's new American owners are backing Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez, it's been revealed the Reds took less than 72 hours to close the deal for the Brazil U20 captain.
Filippo Taddia, who leads an agency that was handling Italian clubs' interest in Leiva, said: "Liverpool had an option on the player for 72 hours and we all believed he would go to Fiorentina, which was the Italian club that was closest to signing him.
"But to our surprise, Liverpool acted on their option. They didn't mess around and met the demands of Gremio, which were around £6 million. It was only the option that prevented the player from going to Italy."Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

So how does one go about getting an option for 72 hours? Surely such a short term deal would almost certainly mean we were very keen and thus would buy him, or is there a deal between us and Gremio about other players too?Originally posted by AFII View PostLeiva deal triumph for Liverpool owners

might be a deal we struck a while back, to give us first option. 72 hour window sounds short though...Originally posted by dww View PostSo how does one go about getting an option for 72 hours?
