    We must go to war

With the whole of the Premiership.
I get the feeling that people are just focused on Chelsea, the big supersar team that everyone wants to topple. I think this could effect how our season ends. We must go to war with every team, they are all our competitors, from Sheffield United to Clelsea. Have a feeling we have got our early blip out of the way. Personally I thought the team selection left a little to be desired, but i'm sure the Champions League game next week had a part to play in that, it's such a big game. we have the squad to replace replayers. Id like to see us using our best 11 to suit the opposition, dont think we seen it yesterday.
We all know it's the Premiership we are after, we have to treat each team as the enemy, the obstacle between us and the title and try our very best to batter every team and treat none of them with any disrespect by fielding weaken sides. I know Rafa likes to keep team guessing. that fair enough, but I thought yesterday we maybe took United a little lightly. Im sure this will change though. We were unlucky in the game aswell with the replacemnts I think costing us the goal, but im sure we wont have this problem for the whole season, im sure Rafa is having it out with aurelio right now.
I still feel optimistic for this season, and am looking forward to the battle commencing.
I think chelsea or Champions can sometimes benefit psychologically from thinking every team has it in for them, Maureen makes the players think all these teams hate us, we have to sho them. and show them they do, if they though all teams liked them, they wouldnt be the same side.
Rafa, you have my permission to release the dogs of war.

'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

You cant play your best players in every game nowadays. Its impossible. Hence Rafa's choices yesterday. The league wont be won or lost this weekend for any team yet the Champoins league could be over in one game on Tuesday.

The team that played yesterday did a job against Chelsea and everyone was happy. Yesterday was going to be tough regardless of who played. Granted we should be beating the lieks of them but Im 100% certain that if we went to Bramell lane later in the season for a league game we would beat them easily with the same team as yesterday. Only Everton beat a promoted team yesterday and that was only down to pure luck. Its always difficult playing against teams that are on a high. We still couldve won yesterday but lesser teams than us, even us a couple of season ago, wouldve folded yesterday.

We will be right there to the end regardless of rotation.

The point of my post though, was not really the squad we picked yesterday, was just how i feel about every other bloody team in the lleague lol. I just think too much focus is being placed on toppling chelsea, rather than going out to batter each team and wanting to beat every team the same way we want to beat chelsea. But I can understand Rafa's early quad chioce at this stage of te season considering we have a massive game next week that would generate alot fo cash for us.
Bring on the rest of the prem.

Instead of approaching the league as a battle I'd prefer if we took that to a smaller scale and approached each and every game as a battle.

We were out fought and out worked by Sheffield United yesterday, we needed to win the battle before we won the match. We did neither.

Compare it to the recent Chelsea, we battled them for everything and came out on the right end of the result. We never looked likely yesterday.

But to beat Chelsea in the long run we have to beat every team dont we?

I know what you're saying about the prem not being won in the first weekend but at the moment Man U are winning by 4-0, and no doubt Chelsea will win this afternoon too. That leaves our 2 main rivals ahead of us in the table by points and goal difference. I know Arsanel didn't win yesterday, but we beat them last year in the Prem table anyway.

We had a slow start last season and it cost us in the end because we could never make up that difference even when our play picked up and we started scoring. Everyone before the start of this season was saying how important it was to make a decisive start, and start on a winning note and we didn't.

I was disappointed both with the team selection and the team performance yesterday, and we don't kow what effect that will have on us long term. We do need to select our strongest team for every game, make changes when needed, but the players selected need to be able to play together in a cohesive way. They didn't do that yesterday, and the reason for that needs to be sorted quickly. We can't afford to let it happen again.
