I hope there is more intensity to these friendlies. When we were losing heavily in pre-season we didn't seem to take it all that seriously yet it clearly was a sign of things to come with our form in the first couple of months of the season.

We did also have a couple of pre-season games under Ged that were flawless . I can't remenber losing a preseason game under Ged and look where that got us.

the scores aren't important it's the performances, but I think Rafa will be trying to win both competetions, more so than the other friendlies we've had in the past

i coach a big team in ireland and one of my under 16s has just signed for wrexham, joey jones is there and was telling him that we are definately playing them again this year a week or so before the season starts.
