Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

Owen off for a knock to the head
I don't think anyone can blame him being injury prone for that
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

FFS, it's frustrating not being able to watch the match. They are showing manure / chelski games in duplex here.

They can - injuries have robbed him of his pace and reflexes, so he couldn't get out the way...

Stevie Gerrard just made a brilliant save down near the corner flag.

He could even play in goal, judging by that.

Would hate to see him getting injured though

Padelli is definately not ready for the Premiership... maybe a year in the Championship on loan will sort him out...
