They're even singing our Istanbul song at their presentation ceremony. FFS. We would never sing an amended version of one of their songs. Don't they realise that it just makes them look like a bunch of sad copyists?

I wanted them to beat Chelski to the title, as I actually dislike them more. Now I have to support them in the FA Cup though, to stop Manure doing the double. Eeuuch.

You mentioned your best mate in the Cyclist thread.

My point is that some West Ham fans are vile and this idea that they are all sweet and a family lot is rubbish. I didn't compare them in my post to any other club as you didn't label any other team as a family club.

Why are they a family club anyway. Even if all their fans are well behaved (which they aren't) what makes them a family club?

I'd say Charlton are more of a family club than WH.

Where did i say that 'they are all sweet and a family lot' Al?

I'm going on my own experiences Al, same as you and the WHU fans i know (there's a good few) are a great bunch, as were the THOUSANDS i came across in Cardiff last year.

I'm not getting into an argument over this cos I know you'll argue till one of us drops dead. I'll get the ICF to send you a christmas card

Al, being serious mate, i dont regard the ICF as an accurate representation of the majority of WHU fans. I'm not sure if you do, but i dont fella

Isn't this the Charlton match thread

APOLOGIES IN ADVANCE for poor quality, had major probs with the stream recorder and lost the last two goals

All goals will be available to view via www.purelfc.com sometime tonight.

Thing is it doesn't have to be an accurate representation of the majority. You can't claim to be a 'family club' if you've got a significant minority of that kind really.

I was only jesting. All London fans are ****e, but then I'm biased having looked after them for 20yrs. Don't get me started on Cardiff though

TBH, my automatic thoughts of WH fans take me back to Cardiff last year, loads of kids, dads and lads etc..i dont think of the ICF when WHU are mentioned. Fair play if others do though.

Glad west ham stayed up, ive got alot of respect fro them after last years FA cup final. They gave us a good run and made it one of the best finals for ages. Being down here in colchester i have alot of mates who support westham and there all decent well informed football fans.

Every club has the minority that seems to get labled as the majority. Just football i suppose
                              *Except Michael, who died.

I like West Ham despite several things that have put them down in my estimation over the last year or so, and I'm glad they stayed up. I think I just like the fact they have more of a unique club culture than most do.
