        Just believe and you never know what will happen.

        According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

              Liverpools tidligere midtbanegeneral, Gary McAllister, er på vei tilbake til klubben. Skotten som spilte for Liverpool i Treble-sesongen i 2000/01, samt påfølgende år, skal etter hva vi erfarer være tilbudt en ledende stilling på akademiet.

              I fjor ble Gary McAllister tilbudt en rolle som reservelagstrener, men valgte å takke nei til forespørselen. Han er også tidligere blitt linket til en posisjon i klubbens junioravdeling. Hans kone måtte gi tapt for kreften for kun et års tid tilbake, og Gary, som spilte 55 kamper og scoret fem mål for Liverpool, ønsket at hans to sønner skulle fortsette å bo i området rundt Coventry.

              Nå skal imidlertid McAllister ha skiftet mening, og etter hva vi kjenner til vil Gary Mac snarlig begynne sitt nye arbeid på Melwood. Ifølge våre kilder skal det dreie seg om en rolle hvor en av hovedoppgavene vil være at han fungerer som en link fra akademiet og til Rafael Benítez, og det virker med det klart og tydelig at sistnevnte ønsker å bedre forholdet mellom de to instansene.

              Som kjent var det problemer mellom Rafael Benítez og Steve Heigway, og Heighway trakk seg som sjef for akadamiet etter at juniorene vant FA Youth Cup for andre året på rad, etter å ha slått Manchester United på straffespark. Benítez satser friskt på ungdommen, og nå vil han også ansette en rutinert mann som hadde meget god innflytelse på Liverpools spillere i den perioden McAllister spilte for klubben. Skotten har fra før managererfaring fra Coventry i 2002/03-sesongen.

                  how is it the norwegians have such good sources?
                  they always seem to get titbits of news
                  anything to do with some of the coaches at the academy?

                    They get news stories before us because Norway is on CET so they're an hour ahead of the UK.
