    Jagielka

Liverpool, Everton, Aston Villa go for £6M Jagielka
    tribalfooball.com - May 14, 2007

A host of Premiership clubs are chasing Sheffield United defensive utility Phil Jagielka.

The Times says Jagielka will alert a host of Premiership clubs by activating a get-out clause in his contract following the Blades' relegation from the top flight.

Jagielka is valued at £6 million and is wanted by Liverpool, Everton, Aston Villa and Wigan Athletic.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

So much of a utility player that he wants to play in goal judging by the hand ball at the weekend.....

he would be decent cover...but our first team needs sorting before we splash 6mill on "defensive cover".

He'd be a fringe squad player at best, but not for £6m! Not good enough for us
            Justice for the 96

As I posted on here a few months ago, Jagielka grew up in Sale and is a massive Man Utd fan. He played for the same junior side (Sale Utd) as my son (the one I'm taking to Athens) but left before he joined. Also, a mate stepson Colin is "Jag's" best friend from school and apparently we were interested in him last year.

Stuart McCall (Warnock's assistant) said on Talk****e yesterday that Jagielka is being lined up by McClaren to play right back for the England 'B' Team and that's probably his best position although he has played most of the season as a centre half and can also play in midfield. He also said he will probably leave Sheffield Utd in the summer.

I think Jagielka's a good young player and if he does join us at least I'll get some genuine 'insider' information off Colin!

It's worth signing him just for that!! Last time I saw Colin we were both ****faced in my local and he 'phoned "Jags" (as he calls him) to get some tickets for their game at Old Trafford.

Is your local The Railway? I can see it from where I am now. In fact if I opened the window I could gob on it.
