Sheffield United midfielder Michael Tonge isn't expected to stay with the Blades in the Championship next season.
Liverpool and Wigan are preparing bids for Tonge. The midfield player rejected a move to Anfield 18 months ago but is desperate to remain in the top flight to enhance his England prospects and will command a fee in the region of £4m.

I knew pretty much all of those players before they came here. Only really Hyypia I hadn't heard of. I know this may sound strange but bar Liverpool I don't really watch any EPL, I spend most of my time watching la liga, Argentinean football and a little bit of Serie A and French football. I agree with RS4 though, he's a decent player who can play in a number of positions. You don't get any better than him who will come to the club for that sort of fee with no first team place guaranteed. Wouldn't be on ridiculous wages either. We need cover for CB, add the fact he can play RB and CM and you have an excellent sub.
