Even with Gerrards so called bad season he could walk on to any team in Europe. He would be in a world 11. Some of those players you have mentioned have had an excellent season, some, like Riise and Crouch, have been just ok. If we sold Gerrard we would find him impossible to replace we could not replace Carraghers commitment either. The rest can be bought and sold easily enough.

Problem is when he played in the middle we thought him irreplaceable until Momo and mascher came along and SG was "Pushed" out onto the wing.

I disagree, he's gone missing in too many big games, i'm thinking of utd away, arsenal away, chelsea away, everton away etc etc.
People make too many excuses for Gerrard's poor form, just admit he hasn't been at it and be done with it.
In saying that he's still a massive part of the clubs future and there'll not be a happier man than me when he pens a new contract.

Dont like to disagree but chelsea away he played ok on the left, and the whole ****in team didnt turn up for UTD away, he played ok against the blue****e too we were unlucky there.

Gerrard was played on the wing because he was a better option on the wing than anything we had. If Pennant lives up to his potential or we bring in another right winger I don' think you will see Gerrard on the wing much.
