Let's look at it this way, 'Ary gave them the opportunity to claim his spot on the left wing the whole of this season... no one did. So it's only logical now he's back, he reclaimed it.

It's been his first season and it has been hampered by injuries. He was a decent player at the start of the season and he even scored in the qualifying rounds to ensure we progressed.

It's a bit unfair the bashing he gets imo, as I still think he has talent and will come good in time. People always unfairly compare him to Giggs or Ronaldo.

As for Ronaldo, he was grossly unimpressive in his first season here. He was hardly an automatic choice for United.

He has to start with Harry. The logic being because if he breaks down again after coming on as sub, we've then lost one of our 3 subs. Starting him also gives us a better chance of scoring first, going 1 or 2 up, and then closing the game out, when we can bring HK off and put a more protecting type of player on, like Momo.

Coupled with Bolo's injury, I think HK will start - from hisa 20min cameo against Charlton - he looks in fine fettle.

I think the concern is that he cant last for 90 minutes as he's come back from a long lay off. Be good to bring on for the last 30 mins in a tight game in much the same way Milan brought Serghinio on against us in 2005. That way he would only have to last for 60mins max which I think he could handle.

Depends how Rafa wants to play it really, do we attack Milan from the start like v Juve or start compact like v Barca. Also depends on who is available to.

Kewell could start with Riise behind him, then at 60 minutes bring on Arbeloa and move Riise into left-mid. There would still be some "threat" from the left but would perhaps make us a bit more solid if we happen to be looking to hold onto a lead at that point.

Bad news if true. Wouldn't want Xabi to leave.

Needs to understand the importance of a squad and what Rafa's tactics might be for different games.

We need our bench to be very strong for a title claim next season and if certain players such as Xabi are there then they must understand the reasons why.

My thoughts exactly mate. Its what Id go with and what I think Rafa will go with. That formation will keep Kaka quiet as well as allowing Stevie G the freedom to boss midfield and get forward.

I like Gonzalez.
He has been very unlucky with injuries, something which has affected his settling in gravely. This has also drained his confidence, which is evident in his reluctance to take players on.
Just as he has gotten a run in the team, a new injury has popped up. Shame really.
