Plenty of threads on this, but as Torres is my number one choice I'm creating a new one. And it's not good news.........
The partnership between Fernando Torres Atletico Madrid is one that works well against Barcelona. They are a counter-attacking team and Torres loves that type of game. If Torres can play well and score a couple of goals it may convince Rafa Benitez to take him to Anfield, although I've got the impression that he's probably only the third or fourth choice for Liverpool.
Still, if he's only third or fourth choice, it whets the appetite to think who is first choice............ Eto'o? Henry? Maybe Villa?
GUILLEM SAYS (in reference to someone saying Villa will stay at Valencia) : It's interesting to hear that you are talking to the chairman and the player ( or is it only that you have heard them talk to the press?). I have spoken to many people, including those two, and the conclusions I take are not taken lightly, I assure you. The player might go or stay, the club might sell or not, another one buy or not, a deal like that is never easy to do and sometimes wishes or suggestions stay as that. But take your blinkers off. Villa belongs to the next level of European clubs.
Ballague seems to know Rafa pretty well and is quite a good source. But its still only gossip at the end of the day.

In all seriousness you may be right, but I think Rafa is targeting the big fish this summer. Bent to West Ham IMO.
