Yeah but I don't reckon any will go spare. I mean, to be bought from the club, so that they are registered on FC's.

Poor marketing, and a mess of a ticket allocation for those fans who go week in and week out has annoyed me. As I said off the field we operate like Woolworths. When I see a measured improvement then I'll start to believe. Up until then it's all talk and Americans do that better than most.
For what it's worth, i agree.

It sounds good and i'm open minded enough to wait and see. But as you say, it's easy to talk a good game. If they deliver on their promises, and i'm open minded enough to wait and see, then even better.

Reading at Anfield in the pissing rain wasnt the nicest trip and the fogged out game against Arsenal wasnt nice either. Each of those cost me £100...as did the re-arranged Arsenal game where we were tonked, plus the FA Cup defeat....£400 well spent for me, those games
No, the kids will only take us so far in the CC so just meaning the CL games and FA Cup.

If our first group game is away and the allocation is 2500 they will sell out easily. So for the 2nd group game it will be harder still, and so on.

I understand what you are saying but we have a large season ticket base overseas and darn sarth who cant make midweek games, and even taking all the seasos in there is still 10000 tickets + per home game for sale, it will be ridiculously important to go to the early rounds as an non season ticket holder but that has been the case since 2002

              Ah yes, i get you.

It's down to luck of the draw on that one i'm afraid.

But how will they do the selling arrangements for the 1st CL away game?

Will they base it on loyalty from THIS season, or will it be open season? If it's based on this season's loyalty, then it opens up the problem of how a FC holder can get on the first rung of the loyalty ladder. After all, even the bloke who's been to every game for the last 40 years had to start SOMEWHERE.

Its the same with the PL aways. They never go to general so you can never get the credit on your card and that leaves you out of the loop, hoping to pick up a spare on the forum. So you can never get on the first rung of the ladder, as DJS puts it.

I live down in south west london and i get to the midweeks as well as the weekends...

I'm fortunate to be able to do it. But what can the club do? There might be all kinds of difficult circumstances for loads of different people, but unfortunately, that's life. The club HAS to reward loyalty and by that, i mean cross competition loyalty.

It makes no sense that someone with 6 CL home games and the 2 big league games aside from Man Utd and Blue****e (Arsenal and Chelsea) should get a CL final ticket, when someone with 15-19 league games, 2 Carling Cup games (out of 2) and 1 FA Cup game (out of one) and 6 CL games misses out.

Over the course of the season, you'll probably get 2 or 3 aways, maybe even upto 5, that DO go to fancard holders. That's how i went to Sheff Utd away on the opening day of the season, and i think Charlton went to FC holders too, and i got one for that. Not sure if West Ham did but someone else sorted me for that. Blackburn ALWAYS does too, because they give us about 9,000 tickets. Boxing Day last year at blackburn was good as it always is with the atmosphere. The only letdown this season was the defeat.

2 or 3?? I never see them go to less than 3/4 credits! Everytime I checked it seemed they sold out in a day or so. Maybe I am missing something...

Mate, 2 or 3 (or even upto 5) away GAMES have gone to ALL Fancard holders this season just gone.

You have to check it literally daily, but trust me on this.

Sheff Utd, Charlton, Blackburn (and maybe WHU too) ALL went to fancard holders. Might've been one or two others as well that i'm not remembering.

                              Yes you're right, it was.

I didnt go to the fulham game mind, because my selfish inconsiderate mate chose that day to get married....when he could've just waited 3 weeks and the season would've been over...

And it bet it ends in divorce anyway!

Well done to everyone who protested/wrote to the club etc

Looks like our ticket office may well get the major overhaul it needs.
