I don't care how they are doing it either, I think it was a decent gesture by the lads to take the time out like that and do what they did to raise awareness, fair play to them. I think ther is still a chance they could find that girl, and the parents shouldnt stop trying every chanel possible to try and raise even further awareness to find her, if that was my child I would do exactly the same. I think everyone on here would too.
    Says something about AA.

But what can you do ? some parents are useless and yet they stroll through life with their kids unharmed ! thankfully.

There are two camps of polar opinions here, neither are ever going to agree. Lets just agree to disagree

That is my point, the British media pick and chose which cases to highlight. All parents would like to have this sort of media attention when a loved one goes missing, sadly this is not the case.

          Anyway.

That's me done on the subject

No I don't 'begrudge' her of the efforts to help. I just believe the motives behind the media frenzy is questionable and I also think there are millions of other just as/more worthy cases in the world which never get picked up on.

I've seen many adverts saying this or that person has gone missing but they don't even make it into the nation press, let alone on TV or internationally. Like I said before, it has been a while since the last media frenzy and we were due one. Hopefully the girl and her parents will benefit from it.

I accept your point but this is not a missing person. Its an abduction of a 4 year old from her bed.I agree with what you are saying though.

I dont see it as a 'statement' that she's passed away either, but that's what a minute's silence is meant to be for. You can raise awareness and have her in people's thoughts in other ways mate.

I know they can, but this is the route they chosen and it has raised awareness, so enough said really, it worked and I have absolutely no problem with it, fair play to them, no matter what way they did it.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

Fair play to them, i'm not saying otherwise, let them do what they see fit.

Equally, i'm entitled to my opinion that a minute's silence is meant to commemorate (sp?) the dead and in this case, isnt the way to go.

I really think this is a silly arguement, as I didnt know there had been rules set on a minute's silence. I wont criticise it at all because it had the desired effect that they wanted it to have. Sure there are other ways to show awareness but so what, they have enough to be thinking about with the biggest game in club football only just around the corner, A minute silence and a banner is an easy way for them to achieve what they set out to do.

I love the way you still cant acknowledge or accept that i AM actually entitled to my opinion on the minute's silence...

Some people on here need to chill out, its getting far to personal.

Fact is, we don't have a clue with the ins and outs of whats going on right now with the case, everything is conjecture at best.

The Portuguese Police are keeping a tight lid on what lines of investigation thay are currently following and what we do know is not very much.

I am sure that EVERYONE on the site wants her home safe and sound ASAFP.
I'm the best there is at what I do, but what I do best, isn't very nice
