Just watched 90 mins of Leto...

finaly managed to get my hands on a Lanus game, took weeks to download. to bad it wasn't all that good. Estudiantes vs. Lanús from 15/04/2007...

it was a bore 0-0 draw not much in the game. estudientes were the better side but lanus had a few runs in the game. if i'm to be perfectly honest, if i hadn't been looking for leto i might not have noticed him, at least not in the first half, but having my glued on him there were a few good things that caught my eye...

he's strong, at least for a winger, might not be ready to push around in england but has the ability to be strong with out loosing any pace...

he's fairly quick, no Gonzalez but likes to run with the ball. he isn't tricky and doesn't do fancy moves, when he beats players it has more to do with simple stuff. although he didn't beat all that many players in this game...

he's got good crosses and a good left foot, saw a couple of excellent 40 yard passes in the second half. he likes to cut inside to the box quite a bit aswell...

he played better in the second half and was one of Lanus' better players, few nice touches couple of nice passes, nothing more...

is he ready to be our nr. 1 left winger, i don't think he is,he one for the future and with proper training he might be excellent. but it might be a bit to much for him to get a grip on england right away. i know it was only one game and it might not have been his best. i saw potential not starting material, hope i can see more games to judge him better and prove me wrong...

When he runs with the ball at his feet, does he have good close control of the ball or does he have to knock it ten yards a time ahead of him?

he likes to keep it to his feet.

From what I've seen he isn't that good technically speaking. But he looks like a strong mother****er. His not increadibly fast but that kind of pace he has combined with his physical strength and passing/crossing ability could make him a pretty effective player. Next season I'd like to see him here and how he gets on, he's a different kind of player to the ones we've bought in the past so it'll be pretty interesting. Rafa has yet to buy a physical and somewhat unrefined attacking player. I look forward to see what he can offer, remember EPL right backs will be used to the physical pressure he will put on them more than the Argi ones as it's rather uncharacteristic over there for a winger to be like him, so he may struggle a little.

As I've said, ideally I would like to loan out Gonzalez and give this guy a decent chance competing with Kewell (letting him go at the end of his contract) and maybe get Puerta (my ideal left winger) to play here too.

He looks a good player in those clips, so does that Lucas. With Insua, Gonzalez, Mascherano and Paletta, Rafa is building aa big South American contingency. If reports are true Tevez maybe ....

i agree with that from what i've seem, but what has suprised me the most is how hard he is and not afraid of a challenge, and with the right training he might come strong enough for the epl... but looking at the boca clip, ibarra had him on lock down, so i think he'll be in for a rough ride when he comes over here...

Yeah, but keep in mind Ibarra is a bit of a veteran these days. How old is he? 32? He sometimes ends up giving the other teams left wing/back the run around. I didn't see that game, but from those highlights it seemed a pretty even contest, so I think he could be fine, especially against more regulation defenders which don't give as much going forward.

He reminds me a bit of Solari which is no bad thing as I think he is/was a classy player.

Exactly what i said when i first saw him.

If he turns out anywhere near as good as Solari was then we have done well
