    Milan's last final in Athens

There are similarities between then an now; a team hailed for their attacking movement against one with a great defence; the best player in the world who threatened to run riot unless he was contained.

For Barcelona '94 there is Milan '07
For Milan '94 there is Liverpool '07
For Romario then there is Kaka now

In 2005 in the build up to the Juventus game, a lot of talk was about containing them for as long as possible and looking to nick a goal. So when we came flying out the blocks Juventus were completely off guard and two nil down before they knew what had happened. This was a team who had previously conceded 2 goals in the entire tournament.

In the '94 final it was defence against attack, except not the way Barcelona had predicted, and in the end, the "defensive" Milan walked off as 4 - 0 winners.

AC Milan enjoy having time on the ball, and they enjoy playing against sides who allow them space to attack. They don't like being put on the back foot. If we can remain compact without being afraid to attack in numbers, we can really hurt them.

Incredibly enough, I think this is a game in which Pennant can really shine.

I believe we will thrash them. 3-0.

I agree, it's there for us to win it.

The AC Milan performance in the 94 final was quite possibly the finest performance by a team i've ever seen. They were simply outstanding.

if my memory serves me, the 94 Milan team was one of the best ever assembled

don't think you should rely too heavily on that memory of yours

AC Milan: Rossi, Tassotti, Christian Panucci, Albertini, Galli, P Maldini (Stefano Nava), Donadoni, Marcel Desailly, Zvonimir Boban, Dejan Savicevic, Massaro.

Nowhere near the team of 4/5 years before

Whilst the above team was exciting I still think they would have been hard pushed to beat this team

They are the best club side I have watched

                  I am inclined to agree.
                  Bob's team was more solid.
