I prefer to hear their views on matters than the silent type of the Glazers and Roman down at Chavski.

I think it's good thing that they are vocal about how they feel.I really think they are genuinly enthusiastic people who truly had no idea the scale of the passion and commitment of the fans for the club they have just bought.

It's unique and i think they just want to feel accepted and truly hold the best interest of the club at heart.

It doesn't matter how many sports franchises or clubs they own between them, neither of them will of ever experienced anthing like what they are about to experience owning the greatest sporting organisation in the world.

He had a serious stroke a year or so back. I don't think he has / will make a full recovery.

Perhaps thats the reason you have never heard him speak? :whatever:

I guess they feel they're still on a PR drive for Liverpool fans, I expect them to talk less in the future.

                  Its all PR imo

They are getting the fans on side by praising them, Rafa on side by praising him etc...

They havent said anything derogatory or inflamatory really

I suppose theres no half measures after years of sufferring Moores the Mute we have these two who could talk the hind legs off a donkey

He hardly spoke prior to his stroke

                    He has always been reclusive

I believe they are truly falling in love with the club. In the sense they knew they were buying something special but are now truly realising and more importantly understanding just how special we are.

That might sound OTT but I fell in live with the club in a similar way. The more you get to know Liverpool FC the more you realise how special it is.

IMO they have said all we need to hear. Their promises of the "best stadium in the world" is yet to be seen but i suspect we will get something we had not envisiged. They are not here to F*** spiders.

At the end of the day if they back Rafa we will be successfull. Full stop.

Silence is not always golden. I believe that Gillet and Hicks are aware of the concern that fans have had over several years and still do have. Firstly the takeover, with all we had to read in the past and in recent times about DIC and then Gillet and Hicks, and it is not unreasonable for our new owners to want the fans to see that they care about our club and its traditions. The PR that they have engaged in during the last few months is positive in my view. Secondly the stadium issues that have been with us for years and years. Perhaps it is enough to have said when they took over that one of the conditions of taking over would be to build a stadium and no more, but I prefer that they have spoken more about this. Saying that they want to review the plans and build the best they can for existing fans and have as many more fans attending as possible is great news; and these are serious men who have a track record of backing up their words eg the Montreal Canadiens and the Dallas Stars! Thirdly the ticketing concerns that fans have had for years, this final included. Rather than silence, Parry has spoken about the problems with tickets for this final and Gillet & Hicks have said they want to improve the ticketing situation.

Further, I suggest that for the fans who have lived with the takeover talk for years and the stadium talk for years and the ticketing talk for years, that a smidgeon of cynicism and apathy may well have crept in and that right now silence is not the best tool for the job. There are so many questions that need addressing and Gillet & Hicks are addressing these with candour and openness that I find refreshing!!!

As a caveat Their cannyness when answering questions about how they will support Rafa financially and of how they will not meddle in footballing matters shows that in this case talking openly is not what is required.
