    Agger interview i danish newspaper

I've translated it myself, so sorry for the broken english sometimes...

    Agger on his teammates:

    Agger on:

Alvaro Arbeloa : Very quiet and one of the new guys, so it’s difficult to say much about him. He can play in both sides and has done well in some of the big matches. But he still needs to work on his english.

Steve Finnan: I think he’s overlooked a lot. Finnan is extremely good. What makes him so good is his stability. He hardly ever makes mistakes, and that’s what it’s all about for a defender. A top bloke and one I hang out with.

Sami Hypiää: He’s a legend over here, and deservedly so. Sami is a top bloke and a great footballer. He’s very stabile, has a terrific attitude and it goes without saying, that he’s “a king in the air” (danish expression)

John Arne Riise: He runs like no-one else. Even at training. He just keeps going and he has a mean shot. Off field he keeps low profile and doesn’t say that much. But Riise is a guy I see privately sometimes.

Steven Gerrard: He’s a real captain, who always shows the way. If we’re not playing well he’s not afraid of digging in. It’s more than fair that he gets mentioned as one of the worlds best players. That’s certainly not exaggerated. He’s got that rare ability to produce his best when it matters. You saw that in the CL-final and in the FA-cup. When it’s really difficult you can expect him to score a goal or two. Off field he’s a really nice guy, who are willing to help other people. Class on and off the field. A top guy

Robbie Fowler: A legend over here. He’s a joker, who doesn’t take things too seriously. He takes things as they come. I feel the same way, so I think it’s cool. Not the quickest anymore but a deadly finisher. Within the penalty area he almost always scores. He still got that.

Xabi Alonso: A good ballplayer and a great passer of the ball. Good at english, but that is generally so with the spaniards we have. They want to speak english and they are good at lifting the spirit of the team when needed.

Peter Crouch: As a player he’s underrated. There’s many who smiles at him, thinking “What the hell is that”. But he can fcuking play and he’s primary force is in the air, which means a lot over here. As a person he’s great fun. He’s one of those who makes it lively, if it has become too quiet or if we’re out in town. A practical joker…and then some.

Jermaine Pennant: Vicious crosses and a good “drive”. Can be extremely fast, when running with the ball. I haven’t witnessed any of the problems with him, that people are talking about. Nothing wrong with him. He’s a big kid, but he’s allright.

Craig Bellamy: A very fast forward and a player who’s good at finding spaces to run into. Very calm and quiet off field., but he has a tendency to say “****ing” a lot. On out of two words to come out of his mouth is “****ing”, but we think of it as quite funny. He’s a great guy that I talk to a lot.

Dirk Kuyt: A funny guy. We laugh about him sometimes, because he’ll shoot at anything. No matter how impossible the angle. It’s hard not to laugh sometimes, although it can be frustrating as well. He runs a lot, it’s his style to work hard and intercepting some balls. And he’s good at it.

Javier Mascherano: One of the new guys, which makes it difficult to judge. He seems like a person eager to learn the language and he keeps trying to speak english, even though it’s difficult for him. To begin with he had to get used to the tempo obviously. He wasn’t used to players attacking him so quickly but he’s learned that quickly. It’s amazing.

Momo Sissoko: He can run the sun black (danish expression) and he’s always giving his all. Quiet, but that’s also down to the language. Momo speaks almost only french. I lived near him the first year and hung out with him a bit.

Jamie Carragher: Good at talking. And it’s getting easier to understand. A year ago I might have said something else. He’s a great guy. A typical liverpool guy. He speaks his mind in a no nonsense kind a way. That’s how it should be. Maybe a bit underrated, though I think people have discovered that he’s a really good player.

Pepe Reina: As a goalkeeper he oozes selfbelief. He’s good with the ball and great at penalties. He’s a fun guy. I really like him and I talk with him really well. He’s a joking type of guy and likes to have a bit of fun. He’s one of those spaniards who learns english very quickly, and speak it quite well. That means a lot… that you’re willing to adapt.

Bolo Zenden: He speaks a lot of languages. He can speak to almost everybody in their own language. He’s almost trying to learn danish. He had some days with Niclas Jensen in PSV, so he’s close to being able to swear at me in danish. A unifying figure. As a player he always works hard and on his day, his a veru dangerous player.

thats really how you'd expect them to be, crouch seems to be good for squad motivation.
