Other team thoughts supposedly 22 men travelled although I can only think of 21, one other must be someone like Lindfield, so only 3 need to be dropped from the selection and I think the likely candidates are Zenden/Gonzalez, Sissoko and Palletta, so in that way the first 18 pretty much picks itself

Reina Dudek Finnan Arbeloa Carra Hyypia Agger Paletta Riise Gonzalez Pennant Gerrard Sissoko Alonso Mascher Kewell Zenden Crouch Kuyt Fowler Bellamy

Edit** Padelli is the other player who travelled, so he'll be left out assuming no GK injuries

I think we'll play dirky in a deep role, dropping back into midfield and feeding off scraps knocked back by crouchy, may mean a few high balls.

We'll flood the midfield basically, put the crunch on seedorf and kaka and pin their wingbacks into their own half. It wont be pretty but really don't give a feck if we win it.

I almost agree with you Tom. I think Rafa will put Kuyt on Pirlo and Mascherano on Kaka.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Zenden is fit. The question is now if Rafa will make the same gamble as he did the last time with Kewell but this time with Zenden.

Just seen clips from training on the BBC News. Zenden looked fit to play IMO.

how you can tell that from running around I don't know, but Rafa said about 3 hrs ago that he wasn't sure, and an hours running and light ball work just before probably won't have changed his mind yet

Sounds like Rafa is playing mind games.
If he says he'll start with Zenden they might think oh he's slow, cant dribble..lets start with the old man CAFU on the left while SENOR RAFA unlieshes Kewell on them.

Well he was moving and turning well, which I imagine would be difficult with a bad ankle, but I take your point. Mind you anything that Rafa says over the next 24 hours may be econimcal with the truth.

watching a prog on Sky Sports now, apparently Sissoko left training early with a hamstring problem, and Zenden came through it okay

it's supposedly due to a slip up in the interview, but to me he was just talking as if he was hoping to be in the final
