Were u watching the same game is me? When HK came on we started spraying the ball straight out to the left, and finally making some inroads down that flank, instead of going thru Pennant all the time like in the first half. Did u see how we won the corner for our goal???

I still feel a little numb in some places (this is probably due to the cholesterol lowering med I'm on), but we have much to look forward to next season. If we can get our targets in early in the transfer window and and have a proper pre-season, we shld be strongly challenging for the premiership. Who's to say we won't get into the CL finals again next season or the season after.

I'm proud of the lads as well but we have to finish teams off when we can. It happened too many times during the season for my liking(Blu****e away, Bolton away, Scum at home).

Walk on REDS..We are proud of you.

Lawrenson:"Well thats 3 good chances they have had in the first 3 minutes of this half"

Motson:"" Yes Mark, you could almost say that they have had 3 chances in as many minutes"

Lawrenson: Errr I thought I just did say that, John"

I am so proud of the boys... prior to the game, there was the mis-air of disrespect some people have voiced in terms of LFC and whether we should even be here in the final... after last night's performance i can genuinely say we have dispelled that notion with a fantastic display and evenly matched/outplayed them on the field (damn even my chelski mates were telling us bad luck as we were playing them off their game and we should have gotten a better result - better luck next time)....

Never thought id be happy to see Harry back but he proved me very wrong. Played really well with determination and confidence. If he plays like that every week time will tell but a genuine stake in his claim to stay on at the club.

It is 12:27 on the east coast of the USA, and I am well drunk. But I have to say how proud I am to be a Liverpool FC supporter tonight. While all other English sides and all of their fans looked on with envy, we were center stage in Europe and we took the game to the favorites all night long. We defeated last year's holders, the FA Cup winners, and proved without a shadow of a doubt that we belong in the same breath with the best sides in the history of European football; Five time Champions of Europe, 18 English league titles and rising. No one can say the name of Liverpool FC without respect for the fans, the global reach of the club, and the massive heart of scousers everywhere.

Tonight, we should have won. In 2005, in all fairness, up 3-0 and confident, AC Milan should have won. Tonight, we didn't do enough to win; In 2005, they didn't do enough to win. So, congratulations to AC Milan on their victory, respect to their supporters and I wish them the best.

That said, we have only ourselves to blame; Poor service from Pennant (and that back heel), Zenden was atrocious (losing every ball and decision and supplying nothing from the left wing), Xabi making some poor choices and bad fouls, Stevie having gilt edge chances and not finishing-- if you want to blame our strikers, go ahead, but playing Stevie behind Kuyt was basically playing him as a striker and he didn't finish when he had the chances. We were neither clinical nor lucky in front of goal; Milan were both.

But there were some incredible positives; Agger/Cara were immense, Finnan and Pennant dominated their wing, and Mascherano was, in my opinion, what Gattuso dreamed of being tonight; Pure class. Reina was given no chance on the goals and owned the box otherwise. We are nearly there! On another night, we win this game 4-2 going away. Tonight, all credit to Milan for exacting their revenge in the most ironic of ways; Now we know how they felt.

One match does nothing to define a football club, but tonight, we should hold our heads high; Another huge European night, another classy, deserving performance. We are blessed to support the greatest club in the world, and we have something that cannot be measured in trophies, medals or cups; We have spirit, class, quality and the knowledge that our men gave their all not for money, not for glory, but for us. You'll Never Walk Alone indeed. Roll 2007/08. Bring home 19 and 6! Proud of you all tonight. Still the greatest club in the world and no one can deny it.

I can't WAIT for the next campaign... Europe and England should tremble.

I have total respect for AC Milan as they are traditionally a working mans club like Liverpool.

It was a harsh result as far as domination goes but you don't win games on domination, only goals.

Well done AC Milan and well done Liverpool for turning up and making many a pundit look like clueless clowns.

I wonder what the Italian press and AC Milan management have to say about us now?

Well done to Rafa and lads for reaching the final again. Thought we were the better team for much of the game

I'm also proud of LFC after last night!

We gave it our best but it just wasn't to be, especially after their 'lucky' first goal. We played the best out of the two teams but that's football unfortunately, and as was said on tv last night, the best team lost yet again!

Congrats to Milan, but we'll move on and this summer must be right. Go after and sign our top targets and we should be ok.

In Rafa, George and Tom I trust!
