    Dirk Kuyt

    Good enough?

LFC fans are generally split about Kuyt.

Some fans fail to see past his workrate to realise that he doesn't offer too much more. I mean his first touch has been pretty awful this season, he isn't the type of player that will create for others. He's decent at holding the ball up, decent in the air and is an OK finisher.

The fact is, he hasn't offered us enough this season and he needs to show much more next season to win me over. I think he should be fourth choice next season though (assuming we bring in 2 strikers not including Voronin)

Needs another season before I'll judge him.

He could be good enough but he needs to be a bit more selfish and get his arse in the box.

Good enough. Definitely. He played well tonight and would have put us 1-0 up had it not been for a great block by Nesta.

He's a cast iron second striker for me, it showed when crouch came on, he'll never be able to play as a lone striker but he can play well with anyone you play in front of him, and he's an asset to the team, wouldn't dream of selling him

As a deep striker in the Gerrard role if you must, dropping deep and grafting to help the midfield he is great, as an out an out goal scorer i'm still to be convinced. He's only had one season with us, and with no Rafa/Pako pre season as well, out of all our strikers he is the one we should keep.
              We come not to play.

He's a *jessie who scurries all about the place but never get's anywhere. I'd keep him for one more season as back up for the world class stars we're gonna get in the summer.

Kuyt gave everything he had for the cause today, I thought he did as well as anyone could have in that position/formation, and will be well worth his place in the team for years to come. We simply didn't quite have the overall attacking quality to quite pull that off tonight, but Kuyt can, and will, get better with better support.

And he'll be one of Rafa's main choices next season.

He scored in the European Cup final, in fact scored within 12 minutes of a 2nd striker coming on!! I don't mind whether Kuyt stays or goes but he deserves to stay - a true workaholic. We need s top striker though.

I'd keep him and revamp the front line and the wide men.
