    scapegoats/heroes/conclusions/hope

dodgy frees/offsides/lucky goals all balance themselves out BUT HOW THE **** CAN YOU JUST END A GAME EARLY? WE WERE IN MILANS HALF AND IT WASN'T LIKE THEY WERE PASSING THE BALL NONCHALANTLY AROUND AMONGST THEMSELVES - WE WERE STILL COMPETING TO FIND AN EQUALISER. that's all i'm bitter about. it was revenge for milan rather than a victory...

riise gave the ball away more last night than anyone on the pitch. does he cause more problems than he solves?

zenden is brilliant positionally - he finds space to receive the ball in all the time and he really is excellent at helping us keep our shape. he's bollox after that though.

xabi was best player on the pitch in the first half. hardy ****er too. his sublime bit of skill was actually better executed than kaka's.

pennant is hard to get the ball off but he tends to cut inside on the halfway line and drift backwards/sideways.

is sg's constant positional changes really benefitting him as a player?

agger will probably be the best centrehalf in at least the premiership in a couple of years.

i was amazed by how positive we were last night - and i say this as someone who either finds rafa a bit negative and/or someone who doesn't really understand what he's trying to do. if we had serious quality on the wings, a bit of a magician somewhere in midfield (could still be xabi) and a killer striker we would have literally crushed milan last night.
if the way we played last night was indicative of what rafa wants us to be then the premiership and at least one more big ears will be on the way. and it could be pretty good to watch too.

overall i feel ok this morning - the performance was all important last night in showing us the way forward. bit of money now. keep xabi. worldclass strikers and wingers. settled team. rafa knows what he's at. the future is good.

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and goodwill shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers and you will know my name is The Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee. I was amazed with 2 second half goals and 6 substitutions, 3 minutes is a disgrace. Thought the ref was ****e all game, constantly stopping the game for petty reasons.

      However, I don't think it's that big a deal

True. Wished that Pepe had fouled Inzaghi and conceded a peno instead. May have had half a chance.

He would be deemed to be the last defender and would have been shown a red. Then it would have been the Dude facing the peno Not so confident now I suppose
