    Anelka

It seems like Bolton are gonna be signing Nico. I wish GH had kept him or Rafa would have given him a chance.

hope we welcome him back when he plays at anfield

I hope so too Diego. He was good during his brief stay.

Was hardly prolific at Anfield. 5 goals in half a season. But I would have preferred him to Bellamy.

can't believe he was transferred for nearly £23 million back in the day.

he scored 4 goals in 13 starts (7 more as a sub) which isn't too bad - look at how long crouch took to get going.

But Crouch has never been considered "prolific" whereas Anelka is.

I don't think there's much to choose between Bellamy and Anelka. Both are ego-centric loons who are capable of giving us pace and 15 goals per season.

Certainly preferable to the man who replaced him - Diouf

yeah anelka being described as prolific for us is a bit much. didn't do too well with real madrid either. was good for man city in his second season i think. robbie fowler definitely wouldn't welcome him back.

That's true. Plus Bells works harder.

The thing with Anelka during his time with us though was that he was looking to win a contract and was playing for a place in the French 2002 world cup squad. He was going to behave himself because it was in his own interest.

I think the guy is hugely talented but is nothing but trouble. From reading Fowlers book, I don't think he had too much time for him and I guess it wouldn't have been too long before our squad would feel the same.

Still he would have been a better addition to the squad than Diouf ever was!
Twin boys - now arriving late August 2008.

Its gonna be Fernando and Gerrard if I get my way!
