Franck Ribery is quality and two-footed. Florent Malouda's pretty good too.

Excellent chice if you want a LW, not sure we really need one TBH. A two footed player is a good call though as they could interchange during the game and cover for any injuries.

In order: Alves, Ribery, Simao, Quaresma, Malouda. Have no idea about Nani.
      Forwards.......

If Kewell is going to stay and play (and be fit) then on form there's not many better.
So with Gonzalez going to leave (apparently) and Bellamy linked with Blackburn then I'd try and get Morten Gamst Pedersen off them in some sort of exchange.

He'd be a good back up to Kewell, and I'm sure Rafa can help bring him on. We could use the rest of our cash on 2 strikers and a top quality right winger.

What about Goran Pandev from Lazio. He's looked good everytime ive seen him play, scores a fair amount of goals....he plays more as a striker nowdays, but he was a left winger when he joined Lazio. He's only 23 too.

I remember us being linked at one stage.

2 european cup finals in 3 years and one of the most famous, respected clubs in world football - not to mention we're now loaded! How can any player be regarded as unrealistic for us?

I heard they put a higher price on Silva then Villa.

doubt he would cost more than Villa. Villa is a hot commodity, and im sure they will get £30m for him.

Silva would be around the 15-20mill mark i reckon.

Well, because of their age I belive. This was a quote form someone at Valencia.

They see Silva as a bigger asset then Villa.

David Villa is very very overated, i hope we dont sign him.

David Silva, on the other hand, is superb!

Watched him live against Chelsea - he is tiny, but amazingly skillful. Not a left wing, but an AMC. The give and go for his goal was class. Terry owned Villa that evening, and demonstrated that he would struggle in the EPL.
                          We need better attacking players!

                          Torres aint enough

In the Premiership the only one I think worth a look and within our price range is Pedersen. Downing is not worth the extortionate fee Boro would charge and can't think of any others that stand out.

My Ambition is in using the money to spend on a world class striker, a world class playmaker and a world class right winger.

You dont win the league by having the best player in the world in every position ala Madrid. If you look at the recent Arsenal sides or Man u sides that have been winning the league they have a ballance of a very skillfull / tricky winger on the one side and a solid consistent worker on the other. You don't have a side full of superstars and out and out wingers.

The Last Liverpool Team to win the League had a world class winger on the left John Barnes, a brilliant playmaker in Beardsley and the best finisher about in Ian Rush. They also had Ray Houghton On the the right who, was just a good solid player that was consistent and could pop up with a goal without being spectactular. However he added ballance to the side and was still a very integral part of the team.

I'll be happy with Pedersen/Kewell on the left if we use the cash to capture the quality we need on the right/upfront as replacing Pennant with a better player is going to be easier than replacing Kewell with a better player...no?

I dont think Rafa is going to replace the left, right and front two in one go.... so the money could be better spent on a right winger/ playmaker and a striker.....
                                So
                                Pedersen
                                Lennon
                                Tevez
                                Villa / Eto
.......Is that ambitious enough for you?.... because I certainly think it would be a footballing brains choice.
