I saw that piece in another paper but spot on, I've briefly talked about that yesterday. I think there could be some delays as to when the cash is transferred and it's legal matters which is hampering that at the moment, if I can remember clearly from that article.

Unfortunately we don't play in La Liga. Things are different in the Premiership, as Rafa has found.Originally posted by JCase View PostThis is somewhat true. However if I remember Rafa's Valencia did not have a prolific goal scorer. I would not classify Mista as prolific. Howver he did have several players chip in 10 or more goals per season.

It's obvious what players we need. A striker, and wide men who can score and create. Just look at the title winners over the last few years. CFC - Duff Robben. Arse - Pires Lundberg. Scum - Ronaldo Giggs. All players who can score 10-15 goals a season and who can create for others........
Come on Rafa (or should I say George) and get it sorted!

The examples might have been off the mark but the theory is correct
Look at our current widemen Pennants scored 1 goal ALL season that aint good enough
I totally agree with the posters sentiments its a must to find widemen who can hurt the opposition both through scoring goals AND creating chances / providing service for a top quality striker who can bang the ball in the netBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. Pennant is improving but his final delivery is still not good enough. Only a fully fit Harry Kewell can bring something different from our current crop.

Harry Kewell cannot be relied upon, he is just too injury prone. I would sell him."In fact I’m going to make a promise which will be welcomed by many. Personally I think Pennant is a squad playerOriginally posted by fredo View Post

He lacks the composure to play at the highest level, Wednesday night proved that, he got in some half decent positions but his delivery was abysmal
Kewell can be great but injuries and inconsistency have blighted his career with us
Personally I wouldnt count on Kewell being much more than a squad player based on those factorsBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

On the other hand people at Valencia said he'd never leave the winning team, but he did. For the record I think he'll stay because I think he'll be backed. Had we not secured investment he could well have left.Originally posted by Lecter View PostPeople said this after his first season and last summer and yet hes still here
