Player Rafa wanted but never got

Just been trying to think which players we knew Rafa has been after at some point in the last 3 yrs, because it's probably a fair guess that he'll try and go in for some of them again so far I can think of:

Simao - Wouldn't be surprised if went in for him
Alves - Ditto
Figo - Opportunity long gone

Who else do we have that came close to joining us, not just idle speculation
