Spending of Big 4 since inception of Premiership??

What is the net & gross speding of the 4 clubs since then?

I am arguing with someone that reckons we have spend more net & gross than anyone except the mancs & only £20m behind the Scum.

Has anyone got any stats? I am sick of these *****.

hmm i would definatly say we are one of the big spenders in the league espicially when houllier was in charge, he seemed to over pay for alot of players, cisse and diouf for example!!

      It could be true.......

I'd say it was... the problem is that year in year out we spend £20m ish on 4-5 players..... not £20m on one player every year.

But that is one of our own making- cannot use that. I am looking for help FFS!

I highly doubt we have outspent the Chavs by the way- even only counting since Romanobitch took over.

Up to 2002 United topped the table in transfer spending in the six seasons up to 2002 with £99million. Leeds were next (£91m) and then Chelsea (£84m), Liverpool (£81m) and Tottenham (£53m). Arsenal's net spending on transfers was £24million. Since then, Chelsea have spent a reported £375M and Manu have been forking out fortunes for players with record transfers themselves for players such as Rooney, Ferdinand and Carrick.

There is no way we have spent anywhere near as much as the Manc's and the Chavs.

A total guess would put it at:
                Mancs
                Chelsea
                LFC
                Clear air
                Arsenal
                ...
Don't take life too seriously or you'll never get out alive.

The figures are originally from a report by Deloitte & Touche.

No worries, I found it surprising to see that the Chavs had actually spent more than us before the russian criminal took over.
