The parts that are quoted in the story on the BBC website seem to suggest that the new owners are trying their best to back Rafa as much as they can.

Not a lot really, near the end the bloke asked Parry do you hope to have some signings imminently and he said "we hope so", thats about it.

If Rafa is 'forced' out of the club due to Mr Ineptitude Rick Parry, theres going to be a riot and i will certainly be involved too.

Do we know this is a Parry issue this time? Parry has no authority to sign cheques without the owner's sayso surely. If things aren't happening, is it down to the new owners or down to Parry. My guess is the former this time.

Good for anyone that thinks we will win any given title next season. Because in saying that anyone with half a brain can tell whether they are saying that in appreciation of the fact we have a chance and they can see it happening on this given occasion, and NOT confuse that for them saying we are the favourites to do so.

Unfortunately some people can't tell the difference between the two, which does my ****ing head in because they then focus on saying what is not possible, they effectively revel in destroying part of what it is to support a team. The faith that even if we are not favourites we will win engenders a belief and determination that is productive of success, and it makes winning all the sweeter.

As for Parry, I hope he ****ing pulls his finger out.

If there is a budget then this must be communicated to Rafa, If Rafa knows the budget then i am sure he would have drawn up targets based upon this.

Rafa's publicised rant looked very much like an attack on Parry, the slow negotiations of contracts, the fact that we strike to late in the transfer window when many of the 1st choice players are no longer available,

Add to that the poor marketing and commercial deals struck?

He is the Chief Exec, the guy that runs the company, if he was in charge of a PLC would he still be at the head of the organisation? i doubt it.

Rafa is attacking hold ups but he's not saying where the jam is. Its possible that Parry is dragging his heels, but its more likely in my view that he's waiting for the thumbs up from TomnGeorge to sanction these transfers, and isn't getting it.

I can't see Rafa jumping ship if he was unhappy with Parry. He'd just talk to the owners and say "I can't work with this guy."

This particular hold up appears to be with the owners, and if you go back to a previous Rafa statement shortly after they took over then that seems to back it up.

All joking aside, things like Istanbul and Cardiff last year have to make you believe, or at least hope.

When Kuyt scored in Athens, i didnt THINK we'd score again. But i did think it was possible and that's due to seeing miracles happen before. Gerrard's goal against Olympiakos was one, the Istanbul thing was another and Stevie's 30 yarder in stoppage time at Cardiff too. 3 miracles in the space of just over a year.

I dont think we'll win the title next year, but i'm not (yet) saying we definitely wont. I'll be having a small flutter on a title win, a CL win and a few other things.

No Red who has witnessed some of the inexplicable achievements of the last few years could fail to have hope.

yeah me an all - Rafa's right we'd better get on with it otherwise we'll be signing players 3 or 4 weeks into the season like last year.

We need new players in place before the pre-season starts otherwise we'll end up starting slowly and playing catch up [which we'll never win!]
