I read in an interview in the Sunday Times quotes where Rafa expects one player to be signed by the time he comes back from holiday in a week.

To be fair, Al, alot of people are impatient due to Rafa's own impatience with the whole situation. His outburst has people concerned that something might be wrong behind the scenes.Originally posted by Red_Al_77 View PostI see the handbags are out in full force today. It's gonna be a long summer and some of you are plainly not up to it. I suggest you find yourselves new clubs because patience is what is needed here. We have finished 5th, 3rd, and 3rd under Rafa. We have reached seven cup finals in 3 yrs winning 4 trophies. We have got rid of the worst players. We have got the finances sorted for a new stadium. We are building a strong team. If some of you want instant success then I suggest you support Chelsea. Have a little faith will you because for the last 115yrs we haven't done so badly have we. It's not even June yet and some of you already seem to be on prozac.
People rarely believe transfer rumors because they rarely turn out to be true. So far we've been linked with no less than 20 players. People believe the stories about the goings on behind the scenes at LFC because it basically came right out Rafa's mouth and was then backed up by Chris Bascombe.Originally posted by Red_Al_77 View PostWhat annoys me is people on here rarely believe transfer snippets in the press but are quite happy to believe judicious reporting of goings-on behind the scenes at Liverpool.Babel fanclub member # 4!!!

tbh mate i'm not so sure anyone is saying we haven't been successful recently, it's parrys comments that this has been a successful season which are grating with some, i'd normally back parry but it's a stupid comment because we haven't beenOriginally posted by Red_Al_77 View PostI see the handbags are out in full force today. Given the directness of the message and the direct quotes, it's fair to say that you don't get this much smoke without there being a fire.Originally posted by Red_Al_77 View PostRafa allegedly made some comments that have been reported in the press. Yeh but Rafa has sounded off before. He just wants what is best. It's really not a case for blind panic. He has basically said what everyone knows anyway. Reporters always dramatise things to sell papers. People have built up their expectations..Eto'o and Tevez and Alves and Milito etc etc etc only to feel from reading the latest that this won't come true. Has it ever? We were never going to buy Eto'o and Tevez and Alves. One possibly. People have got themselves all excited only to realise yet again that this isn't a bloody computer game.

It's in the papers? Must be true then. We must be in crisis. We're all doomed. The transfer window is closed. It's all over. Rafa is leaving. Hey wifey hand me the kitchen knife.Originally posted by einar View PostAre you kidding? Tom, George and Parry have all commented on this. This is in all the papers.

To be honest as much as it would be a dream come true to sign the likes of Villa and Eto'o I've never really believed it would happen. It just doesn't seem to be Rafa's way. I would be happy with the likes of Simao, Milito, Torres or Tevez. Any 3 of those 4 would do for me but I'm happy to accept whoever we sign as long as they are players that Rafa wants to sign and they improve the team.Originally posted by Red_Al_77 View PostYeh but Rafa has sounded off before. Unfortunately when something is in all the papers reported in much the same way, then yes it is true.Originally posted by Red_Al_77 View PostIt's in the papers? Must be true then. That is the important bit for me. It's not who the press think we should sign. It's who Rafa wants us to sign that is important.Originally posted by kurtangle01 View PostTo be honest as much as it would be a dream come true to sign the likes of Villa and Eto'o I've never really believed it would happen.
