If we get in the region of £22m for Crouch & Bellamy I'd sell. £9m for Owen leaves £13m to go towards Eto'o & Tevez. I wouldn't be unhappy if Crouch stayed as a squad player.
If it meant we started the season with Eto'o, Owen, Kuyt, Voronin and 1 other striker to come in - I'd be happy.

Why on earth would we need 5 strikers?Originally posted by Kopite_Colin View PostIf we get in the region of £22m for Crouch & Bellamy I'd sell. £9m for Owen leaves £13m to go towards Eto'o & Tevez. I wouldn't be unhappy if Crouch stayed as a squad player.

If Rafa want us to play a quicker game then there will be no place for Crouch.
He is good holding the ball up but that also slows down our game. It all depends what Rafa is after. Look at all the other top clubs that plays a quick passing game. They don't play with a player like Crouch because it would slow them down.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

agree but as touched upon in the thread earlier Crouchy being left on the bench for champs league final may make him think he'll never be first choice for Rafa, hence the need to move on.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostI'd be horrified.
We need to have a backup striker somewhere though perhaps these will be Kuyt/Voronin? But if we do only sign one superstar striker and Crouch leaves we'd have Voronin, Eto'o/Tevez/Torres and Kuyt and room for one more.
Bent would be happy to be squad player for now hence my reason for suggesting him. In no way would I want him as first choice. Dean Ashton perhaps?

**** the little england whore. crouch offers us something different. only thing the midget offers is a fresh set of problems for the medical staff...Originally posted by AFII View PostOwen to us and Crouch to them, that is a good deal."I have decided to escape, to defy the shogun. Because I don't think anybody on here is convinced / knows whether Voronin is an out-and-out striker. We need options and I wouldn't want to go into a new aiming-to-win-the-title season with 1 proven premiership striker (which is Owen, - whose fitness is yet to be proven). Kuyt is still unproven in terms of Prem goalscoring to me. It's likely Eto'o would be a success because of his class (but we thought that about Morientes), ano-one knows much about Voronin. That's why I wouldn't mind if Crouch stayed and we started with Eto'o, Kuyt, Crouch, Tevez or Owen & Voronin.
