If you read the interview he says he loves Liverpool, wants to stay and calls Rafa the perfect manager, but that he is a young lad and wants to know where he stands.

He said

"I've two years left on my contract and I'm happy with Liverpool, when you play for this club it's something very special," he said.

"So I need to know my situation, I've know Rafa Benitez since I was 17-years-old and I know he is the perfect manager.

"I know he has confidence in me. I'd like talks to stay longer and we've a meeting arranged with my agent.

"But I need to play football and now after the final I need to know my position."

that's hardly an outburst.

Parry hits back?

All he says is Rafa will receive the backing he wants and that everyone is working in the same direction.

"They are going to provide backing and have made that clear to Rafa and we will be moving forward very positively" is not exactly hitting back, rather the correct statement to make at this stage.

Maybe we should leave the misleading headlines to the red tops and save serious football discussions for these forums.

everything gets a bit mad when its time for transfers but almost none of it should be taken seriously. the events of the past week haven't helped anything , we need something good to happen. but then we get quotes from the manager criticising the way the club is run. it's alot to take in and i can understand why some people are ranting and that, theres alot going on at the moment and almost none of it is good (what is being reported in the press about athens and rafa ranting and all that ****e). i'm not bothered, i think we're on the right path and will make some good signings this window now that we have the moola to do so.

i enjoy reading all the mad stuff because it adds a bit of excitement but i don't get caught up in any of it. i'll be happy when we sign someone but until then i like reading all of the bull**** and rumours coming through

I can't remember the exact tale but 'Rafa's daughters' as a source of info defo rings a bell.
