Bollocks to that - I'm feeling good about this match - yeah Haifa will be up for it, but do you really think we won't?? If I was Rafa I'd be a man on a mission after the way they treated him in the PC. Finnan and Alonso are back, Agger's a capable deputy with a point to prove and THEY have to score. We've got quality all over the park and experienced back-up for Riise in Aurelio. We've also got the phenomenon that is Momo not to mention the fact that with Kuyt yet to come in, all of our strikers are under pressure to deliver. And if Stevie is fit, well…..c'mon you REDS!!!

Indeed, though losing this game may well ruin or define our season. It's that big!

I am also very nervous about tonight's match.

We've two key players missing in Carra and JAR and apparently the squad had a terrible journey followed by Rafa's difficult press conference.

However, I bet you Rafa will get the players pumped up and following our disappointing draw in Sheffield on Saturday the players will want to perform in this one, especially as there's so much at stake too! We've Finnan, Alonso, Crouch and Garcia to come back in for tonight's game, and there's a lot of experience there, so I'm hoping we'll be all right.

For tonight I'd go with the following, and I'd be reasonably confident of progressing with this lot (although it can all easily go horribly wrong if we aren't on our guard and aren't all giving 100%):

          Reina
          Finnan
          Agger
          Hyypia
          Aurelio
          Gerrard
          Alonso
          Sissoko
          Garcia
          Bellamy
          Crouch

            Crouch

I'd go with that too mate. Luis could be vital tonight I reckon.

I'll be watching Aurelio closely tonight, and after his defensive performance last Sat, Haifa will be watching closely too. I can't see any real worries in other parts of the field with that lineup

            COME ON REDMEN

edit - I have a feeling Momo may be dropped/rested in favour of Pennant tonight actually.

There's no reason why we can't win but it won't be easy. I think we need to play Crouch up front with Bellamy and restore Alonso to the side at the expense of Zenden.

Carragher is obviously a loss but Agger looks like he's good enough. The main worry is Riise being injured. From what I remember their right winger looked good and caused us some problems in the first leg and I'm a bit concerned that Aurelio is not good enough defensively.

i agree crouch needs to start up top with bellamy in the hole.

pennant needs to play on the right. and if stevies ill just play xabi and momo in the middle.

                we will win.

I still think we'll make it through, but I do feel uncharacteristically nervous. We really need to make sure we're up for this one.

How can they complain we were phyiscal in our approach, after the amount of times they tried to break Pennants legs? Maybe it is is because they are a bunch of poofs who fell over at every oppertunity.

We will win by the way, 2-0.

We badly need the clean sheet to be honest. We haven't defended all that well so far this season.

Maybe Tom's bad feeling referred to the whole tie not just the home leg
